The launch of an SREM aboard Rosetta is scheduled for 13 January 2003!

  • 01 Nov 2003
Already 9 hours after launch of INTEGRAL, IREM (Integral's Radiation Environment Monitor) was switched on and is working fine since then. The following graphs show IREM count rates for the first 5 perigee passages.

1. perige passage, 2. perige passage, 3. perige passage, 4. perige passage, 5. perige passage
S14 shows protons at > 20 MeV and TC3 shows electrons at > 0.5 MeV plus the protons.

  • 21 Apr 2002
The main test phase of PROBA 1 has been completed and SREM is planned to be operated now on a regular basis. New SREM data can be expected to be processed and put on this site in intervalls of approximately 10 days.
  • 05 Apr 2002
Since December 2001 SREM was continued to be operated only sporadically. The data accumulated so far is now available for download in the DATA section. A few PowerPoint slides showing some of the data are also available.
  • 12 Dec 2001
Commissioning phase with only sporadic operation of SREM is still continuing. So far SREM was only switched on a few times.
  • 14 Nov 2001
While commissioning tests are carried out on PROBA 1, SREM is switched off since 8 November 2001. SREM will be switched on again after the tests have been finished.
  • 09 Nov 2001
More test runs of PROBA1/SREM have been carried between November 1 and 7. The measurements have been interrupted a few times by the occurrence of a 'watch-dog elapsed' error. Nevertheless the gathered data looks good! Results are summarized in a short report.
  • 01 Nov 2001
Short test runs of PROBA1/SREM have been carried out on October 28 and 29. Preliminary results indicate that the instrument works well.
